“My love for both design and computer technology led me towards the web design field.”
My name is Tim Long. I am originally from a Pikesville, Maryland but moved to Philadelphia to study Web Design and Interactive Media at the Art Institute of Philadelphia.
My love for both design and computer technology led me towards the web design field, and it has been a love of mine since before high school—back when everyone was putting up Geocities and Angelfire sites (yes, I had my DBZ fan page on there).
Created the front and back ends of www.americasgreatrestaurants.com. It included mocking up design in photoshop, coding it, and then adding a database to dynamically pull data onto the resulting template.
Interacts with customers in order to find what computer solution would be best from them. and deliverent excellent customer service. Working in a fast-paced team setting.
Created HTML and CSS pages from Illustrator designs, Developed PHP applications for company intranets, and improved site navigation systems for a client’s web service.
Internet browsing is no longer predictable. Websites can be viewed from portable computers, iPhones, other mobile devices, or video game consoles. As more mobile devices are being released with stronger browsers, the look of a website can suffer from lack of flexibility.
Best practices allows sites to operate at maximum performance, and also maintain their look and feel despite where the user is browsing. Whether it is being viewed on Firefox, Safari, or iPhones, the site looks great and gracefully degrades.
Feel free to contact me for whatever the reason may be. Questions or Comments? I am open to anything. I shall do the best that I can to respond to all emails as soon as I get the chance. My email is tim[at]timuism[dot]net.
